Western Nevada Musical Theatre Company is where you can find the best of Broadway, right here at home. As one of the largest musical theater companies in the state of Nevada, we draw talent from several Nevada and Northern California cities. WNMTC productions are featured at the Carson City Community Center, a 550 seat proscenium theater located in the heart of the state capitol. This critically acclaimed company draws patrons from 20 states and Canada, attracting as many as 7,200 people to a single production. WNMTC presents two productions a year, one in May and one in November.

Stephanie Arrigotti, producer/director, has produced 107 WNMTC productions and directed scores of them, including Mamma Mia!, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Les Misérables, Mary Poppins and
The Phantom of the Opera.  Stephanie graduated from the University of California, Davis and earned her Master of Music from the University of Nevada, Reno.  She started the music program at Western Nevada College in 1977, where she serves as the only full-time performing arts professor, coordinating multiple part-time instructors in music, dance and theatre.  She hopped on stage to play Ruth in Pirates of Penzance, Grace Farrell in Annie and Annie Warbucks, Irene Molloy in Hello, Dolly! and Golde in Fiddler on the Roof.   Stephanie was named Outstanding Faculty Member of the Year in 2006 and was selected by Musical America as one of the nation’s 30 top professionals in the performing arts for 2019.  She has gratefully moved into her new role as grandmother.

Gina Kaskie Davis, choreographer, assistant director, began her training in England where she danced semi-professionally from the age of 13.  She was a professional dancer for 20 years in London, Paris and the United States.  Gina has been choreographing shows for 25 years as well as operating her own studio, the Western Nevada Performing Arts Center, which has won many outstanding high point and choreography awards.  Her choreography credits include the Northern Nevada high school productions of Chorus Line, Godspell, Crazy for You and Grease.  She has choreographed 51 WNMTC productions, including Mamma Mia!, Crazy For You, Nice Work If You Can Get It, The Little Mermaid, 42nd Street, Mary Poppins, Chicago, Les Misérables, Hello, Dolly!, Pajama Game, The Phantom of the Opera, The King and I, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Beauty and the Beast, Anything Goes and West Side Story.

Kevin Murphy, orchestra director/manager has been in the orchestra pit with WNMTC for 42 productions over the last 18 years. He is currently the Director of Music Ministry for St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church, has conducted the Truckee Meadows Community College band, and performed with numerous groups in the Reno area. By day, Kevin is a digital accessibility engineer for Stanford University.

Judy Monson, vocal director, has retired from teaching music at Elizabeth Lenz Elementary School in Reno and now focuses on being Director of Music at the First United Methodist Church and teaching private lessons at home and at WNC.  She received her Master of Arts from San Francisco State University and a Vocal Performance Degree from the Cherubini Conservatory in Florence, Italy.  Judy was the founder and former director of the Carson Chamber Singers and co-founder and former director of the Sierra Nevada Children’s Choir in Reno. “Working with WNMTC’s staff and performers has been a total joy!”
